Is Singapore and Malaysian food the same?

Malaysian food tend to be saltier and sweeter than Singaporean food. In other word, Malaysian food have stronger taste than Singaporean food with one exception, the famous Singapore Chili Crab. It have a strong taste that really suit my Malaysian Chinese palate.
